Placepoint Fusion user documentation

Placepoint is a Norwegian property platform that collects, contextualises and quality-assures data from public and private sources in one shared workspace for maps, analysis and portfolio management. One platform for every property decision.
This site holds the user documentation for Placepoint Fusion (app.placepoint.no), the next generation of the Placepoint console. Here you get a walkthrough of every surface in the left menu: how to use map layers, tags, datasets and analysis, how the property panel is built up, and step-by-step examples of common workflows.
Placepoint covers 3.5 million matrikkelenheter, 1.1 million active companies and 850,000 sub-units. Between them sit more than 30 million ownership relationships: shareholdings, ownership stakes, group structures and the companies behind the properties, including 1.5 million links through SPVs. We also connect 5.3 million company addresses to the properties they sit on, so you can see who is based where. Each year brings around 240,000 registered changes of ownership, 300,000 companies that change address, more than three million updated ownership relationships and close to two million changes in company details. You see who owns what today, and who owned it before. The full scope is on Placepoint in numbers.
Sweden: Placepoint bought Combify in July 2026 and covers Swedish property through them: 4.2 million fastigheter (Swedish properties) in all 290 municipalities, with detaljplaner (detailed development plans), bygglov (building permits) and development rights. More than 620,000 municipal cases have been analysed, among them more than 500,000 building permit decisions and close to 120,000 detaljplaner, and behind them sit more than 100 terabytes of case documents. The property data is updated weekly, the municipalities issue around 70,000 building permit decisions a year, and the platform takes in around 1,500 data updates every 24 hours. The sources are Lantmäteriet, Boverket, Bolagsverket, SCB, Metria and the municipalities. See combify.com.

Who this is for
The documentation is aimed at the same groups as placepoint.no/kunder:
- Banking and credit teams that assess collateral, loan applications and portfolio exposure, and want legal, financial and climate-related risk together on the same property.
- Investors who build and monitor portfolios, screen acquisition opportunities and run value and yield calculations.
- Developers who assess sites, calculate UFA and BYA against zoning plans and use 3D analysis for volume studies.
- Insurance providers that assess exposure to flooding, quick clay and other natural hazards on a single property and across a portfolio.
- Brokers who search for properties, tenants and buyers, and look up ownership structure, transactions and area figures.
- Advisers (lawyers, valuers, analysts) who prepare decision material and pull matrikkel, zoning and company data without jumping between registers.
- Architects who read zoning, check height restrictions and run sight line, sun and shadow analyses in 3D.
- Public sector bodies (municipalities, counties and state agencies) that coordinate planning, property and building cases across map data, matrikkel and public access registers.
