Agent in Placepoint Fusion

The Agent panel is the MCP server built into Placepoint Fusion. You type in a panel inside the platform, in the language you use yourself, without Claude Desktop, Cowork, Claude Code or any other setup, and the Agent answers using the same registers and tools as the MCP server.

The panel is being trialled with selected users. It is beta functionality in active development: answers, tools and the interface change continuously, some questions do not get an answer yet, and parts of the interface may show English text. Report errors and gaps to support@placepoint.no.

The start screen shows what the Agent covers: property and buildings, ownership and companies, zoning and plans, and risk and surroundings. The example prompts at the bottom can be clicked directly and use the reference properties Kastellhagen 2 and Tordenskiolds gate 2, which are verified against the matrikkel, so a first click always returns a result.

How to ask the Agent

The video shows one question from start to answer: open the panel from the menu on the left, make it narrower so the map is visible, and ask "Hvem eier Tordenskiolds gate 2 i Oslo, og hvem leier der?" (Who owns Tordenskiolds gate 2 in Oslo, and who leases there?). The answer arrives while you watch, with the owner, the title and the largest tenants, and links that open the property and the companies in the map.

1. Click Agent in the menu on the left. The panel opens across the whole map, with the previous conversation if there is one. Click New chat to start again.
2. Drag the right edge of the panel until it covers about half the screen. The width is remembered for next time.
3. Type your question in the field at the bottom and press Send. An address is enough, the Agent finds the matrikkel number itself.
4. The Agent looks up the property, fetches the title deed extract and the tenant panel and answers in text with links. Ask more in the same conversation when you want to go deeper.

Duration: 1 minute and 28 seconds. The answer is written by the Agent there and then, so the wording varies from time to time.

Two questions for the Agent

The video shows two example questions for the Agent, each in its own conversation, with the answers as they arrive: zoning status for a whole street, and the owner, company structure and tenants for a building. The waiting time while the Agent looks things up is fast-forwarded. The typing, the answers and the map run in real time.

1. Check the whole of John Colletts allé. Where can new building take place? The Agent reads the plans for the whole street, divides it into three zoning regimes, points to the temporary building ban in Småhusplanen and puts the properties it has checked on the map.
2. Who owns this building, through which SPV, and who are the tenants? The building is Tordenskiolds gate 2 in Oslo. The Agent shows the title holder, the owning company behind it and the largest tenants with organisation numbers.

Duration: 1 minute and 26 seconds. The answers are written by the Agent there and then, so numbers and wording vary from time to time. Tordenskiolds gate 2 is one of the reference properties from the start screen.

What the Agent can do

• Answer the same questions as the MCP server: property lookups, Grunnboken, companies, zoning plans, risk and analysis.
• Control ordinary Fusion functionality while you talk: move the map, switch on map layers, open the property panel.
• Search this user documentation, so "how do I do this" questions are answered with the procedure, not just data.

Answers link to organisation numbers and to the map, so you can go straight from the answer to the property panel or the company panel and continue working there.

Area questions work here too. The same question that produced the report on John Colletts allé gives you, in the panel, a review of the street's zoning regimes, with provisions, temporary prohibitions and which parts of the street must be assessed separately. The Agent points out that the exemption practice sits in the decision documents, not in the map data, and offers to continue property by property.

What the panel suits best

The Agent has the full toolbox from the MCP server, but the panel is at its best on what belongs in the map: one lookup, one check, one question about what you see. The answer comes as text with links, and the Agent can at the same time move the map, switch on the map layer that shows the matter and open the property panel on the result. Long reports, spreadsheets and work that combines Placepoint with other sources still belong to the MCP server in Claude Desktop.

What the Agent does for you in the panel:

• Looks up an address or a matrikkel number and gathers the plot, buildings, units, owners and tenants in one answer.
• Fetches the title deed extract and summarises encumbrances: mortgages, easements, rights of way and prohibitions on subdivision.
• Finds which zoning plans and municipal master plans apply, including plan proposals, and shows the plan map together with the property boundaries.
• Reads the plan documents, provisions and plan description, and summarises development density, heights and purposes instead of listing them.
• Checks risk around the property, flooding, landslides, quick clay, habitat types and protected areas, and switches on the risk map layers that show it.
• Maps the companies behind the property, from ultimate owner down to the subsidiaries, with roles and shareholders, as the company panel shows it.
• Calculates travel time and reach by car, public transport, bicycle or on foot from the point you are standing on.
• Takes a whole area in one question: a street, a block, an area, and continues property by property when you ask for it.

The difference between the Agent and the MCP server

Same engine, two entrances. The MCP server is used from Claude Desktop, Cowork or Claude Code and suits long analyses, reports and work that combines Placepoint data with other sources. The Agent panel lives in the platform and suits you when you are already working in the map and want to ask, navigate and look things up without switching tools.

What the Agent does better:

• Uses the Fusion functionality directly: moves the map, switches on map layers and opens the property panel on the result, instead of describing where you should click.
• Answers many questions faster than the MCP server in Claude Desktop, because the lookup goes straight to the platform you are already logged in to.
• Answers "how do I do this" questions with the procedure from this documentation.

What the Agent cannot do yet:

• Create files for export: Excel, PDF or reports. The answer comes as text with links in the panel.
• Create interactive dashboards and other visual deliverables.

If you need files or dashboards, use the MCP server in Claude Desktop.

One important difference concerns personal data. The MCP server always shields private individuals, whatever account you have. The Agent panel uses your Fusion login and follows your access level in the platform: if your account has extended access to personal data through documented legitimate interest, that access also applies in the Agent.

Who can use the Agent

The Agent is in pilot. Placepoint switches it on for selected users, and then it sits in the side menu. If you cannot see it and want to try it, contact us.

Connections to other systems

The Agent fetches data through connectors. Three connectors are available today:

Placepoint Dataset MCP	The datasets in the platform, for extracts and aggregation
Combify MCP	Swedish property: fastigheter, detaljplaner and bygglov from Combify

The administrator sets up connectors to external systems under Agent in Settings. Each connector has a form. Some ask for an API key from the system. Others, such as HubSpot, Notion and Vercel, send you to the provider to log in and approve, and take you back to Settings with the connector saved.

Read this before you connect a system:

• Everyone in the organisation who has the Agent uses the connector through it, with the access of the account that connected it.
• A provider that authorises a person and not a workspace, as HubSpot and Notion do, gives the Agent the administrator's own permissions. Actions appear with the administrator's name in the provider's log. Use a service account where the provider offers one.
• The Agent reads through the connector. A write stops and asks for confirmation first.
• Keys and tokens are stored encrypted. Remove the connector from the same page when it is no longer needed.

More systems are on the way, so the Agent can answer with leases, operational data and accounts in the same conversation as the property data. The systems we are considering, in the order we are looking at them:

• Property and lease management: Fenistra.
• FDV (facilities management): FDVweb, Famac, Vitec Plania, EG Facilit.
• Accounts and ERP: Visma.net, Xledger, Tripletex, PowerOffice Go, Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• CRM: SuperOffice, HubSpot, Salesforce.
• Documents: SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
• Energy: Kiona Energinet, Entro EOS.
• Access and e-signing: Unloc, Signicat, Scrive.
• Market data and credit: Ambita Infoland, Bisnode.
• Debt collection and invoice approval: Kravia, Semine.

The order is set by which systems our customers use and who has asked for them. If your company uses a system you want in the Agent, contact us.

Examples you can try in the panel

Write in the language you use yourself, with no preamble. Replace the square brackets with a real address, a matrikkel number or an organisation number:

• "Hvem eier [adresse], og hvem leier der?" (Who owns [address], and who leases there?)
• "Hent grunnboksutskriften for [matrikkelnummer] og oppsummer heftelsene." (Fetch the title deed extract for [matrikkel number] and summarise the encumbrances.)
