Report: Price statistics
The price statistics report shows housing price trends, sales volume and price levels for the area around a selected property. The figures are based on registered sales from Kartverket, enriched with Placepoint's transaction dataset. Use it as a market anchor for pricing, bid documentation and local price trends in an acquisition memo.
Opening
Click Reports in the quick links on the property panel and select Price statistics. You can also reach the report via Analyze in the left menu and then Reports. The report opens as a modal.

Key cards, average price over the last 12 months
Three cards side by side:
- Left (pink): the selected area, average price per m² and the number of homes sold on the open market.
- Middle (green): the price difference in % between the selected area and the comparison area.
- Right (blue): the comparison area, average price per m² and the number of homes sold on the open market.
Chart, sales and price per square metre
Combined bar and line chart with quarterly data:
- Bars: the number of sales for both comparison areas.
- Lines: the average price per m² for both comparison areas.
The date pickers at the top right let you adjust the time interval.
Tab: Price trend
An interactive map with colour coding per grunnkrets or municipality by price trend per m². The property's location is marked with a red pin. The same building type and new/resale filters as in the Housing price statistics tab.
Tab: Price analysis
Histogram of the number of home sales by price per m² intervals for the selected place and year:
- White dashed line: median price per m².
- Green dashed line: average price per m².
A trend chart for the average price trend and forecast is shown at the bottom.
Holiday homes and other housing types
The building type filter shows categories such as Detached house, Apartment and Semi-detached house. Holiday homes (cabins, summer houses) belong to a separate market segment and are not included in these statistics.
For registered sales on a specific holiday property: open the property in the property panel and use the Transactions tab. It shows all registered sales regardless of building code.
