Data and sources
Placepoint combines around 2,300 data sources and map layers from public agencies, municipalities and commercial vendors, and covers 3.5 million matrikkelenheter, 1.1 million active companies and over 30 million ownership relations between companies, owners and property. This overview shows the individual datasets, what they contain, and where you can find them directly at the source. The total scope in figures is listed on Placepoint in figures.
Land-use plans are covered by five datasets: adopted zoning plans, plan proposals under consideration, municipal plans, municipal plan proposals and notices of plan commencement, including Oslo. The plan documents, such as provisions and the plan description, are included where they exist, and it is in the provisions that the requirements actually appear, not in the colours on the plan map.
Each dataset has its own page with a description, vendor or vendors and update frequency. See Vendors for the opposite view: which datasets each vendor contributes, and Glossary for short explanations of the terms used on the dataset pages (matrikkel, grunnbok, BYA, UFA, dispensation and over 300 others).
For a combined explanation of update frequencies, why discrepancies arise, enclave cases and how you report a data error, see Data quality and update frequency. See also the FAQ: Data and sources.
