Number of transactions (property)
The number of registered property transactions per grunnkrets (basic statistical unit) over a given period, based on the matrikkel. Distributed by Geodata AS. The dataset is a signal of market liquidity: how often property changes hands in an area, and therefore how reliable the average price in Property prices is.
For commercial agents and valuers, transaction density is a basic market analysis factor. Low turnover in an area makes price indications more uncertain, and can also signal structural stagnation. For home buyers, high transaction density is typically correlated with urban areas that have a more dynamic market.
