Building age

Detailed overview of construction years for buildings across Norway, based on the information that municipalities have registered in the matrikkel, with building geometry from Felles kartdatabase (FKB). Distributed by Kartverket. For a property analysis, building age is one of the most information-dense single variables: age indicates the building regulations that applied at the time of construction, the likely maintenance needs, the energy profile and the potential for refurbishment.

The dataset is part of Placepoint's property panel and building panel, and it is a central component of the Property map layer. It is often read together with Apartment building, Commercial buildings and the other building type extracts from the matrikkel, and with Enova Energy Label for an energy assessment.

Update frequency: Daily.

From the time information is registered in the Matrikkel until it is visible in the service normally takes one to two days.
