Ownership and Company Structure

Placepoint's compilation of businesses, their parent companies and NACE industry classification. The map layer shows parent companies coloured by the 10 most common NACE industries, and links each business to proff.no for quick lookup of accounts, board members and ownership history. The dataset is based on Brønnøysundregistrene's Enhetsregister (the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities), supplemented with ownership data from Aksjonærregisteret (the shareholder register), and is intended for commercial property agents, prospective investors and analysts.

For a commercial property agent, the parent company overview is a key tool: a property owned by Norske Hydro or Storebrand has a very different long-term tenancy profile from one owned by an SPV structure set up for a single project. The NACE colour gives you a quick visual picture of the industry structure in an area.
