Enova Energy Label

Energy performance certificates for buildings from Enova's Energy Label scheme. Each certificate has two scales: an Energy Rating from A (best) to G that describes the overall energy performance of the building, and a heating rating on a colour scale from red to green that describes how much of the heating does not come from oil, gas or electricity. A green rating indicates district heating, a biomass boiler, a heat pump or another alternative heating source.

An energy performance certificate is mandatory when housing and commercial buildings are sold or let, under the energy labelling regulation, and each certificate is valid for 10 years or until a newer certificate replaces it. For a home buyer, the energy label signals both running costs and future regulatory risk, since stricter requirements under the EU taxonomy and the coming EPBD directive may require upgrades. For a commercial agent, the energy label is central to ESG reporting and valuation. Included in Placepoint's map layers for energy and shown in the property panel.
