Walking to the public transport stops
Placepoint's derived analysis of the walking distance from each building to the nearest public transport stop, calculated as isochrone zones in different time intervals (typically 5, 10 and 15 minutes). The model is based on Public transport stops from Entur and the walking route network from Kartverket.
For a housing developer, the walking distance to public transport is one of the most critical location factors. It determines the parking standard set in zoning plans, the market value and target group of the home, and the municipality's assessment of density and utilisation rate. For a commercial agent, it is relevant for office premises where commuting is a factor. Related: Public transport stops, Public transport routes, Public Transport Density.
