Income and wealth statistics

Detailed compiled distribution of income and wealth per grunnkrets (the smallest Norwegian statistical area unit), with the number of people in different segments by income, wealth and age. The dataset is more detailed than the aggregated average figures in Income and Wealth, and can be used for more precise target group and purchasing power analysis, for example "how many households have an income above NOK 1 million in the 30 to 50 age group within 1 km of the plot?". Delivered to Placepoint by Geodata AS, with Statistisk sentralbyrå (SSB) as the underlying data owner.

For commercial property agents and valuers in the high-value market, the segmented version is often more useful than the averages, because wealthy individuals can pull the average sharply upwards without reflecting the real buyer base. Update frequency: Annual.

The segments are aggregated per grunnkrets, not individual data from the tax authorities, and follow the same chain and the same statistical year as Income and Wealth: the annual tax assessment from Skatteetaten (the Norwegian Tax Administration), compiled and published by Statistisk sentralbyrå (SSB), distributed by Geodata AS.
