Public transport routes
Public transport routes for bus, train, metro, tram, ferry and air from Entur, aggregated from all of Norway's public transport companies and published as open data. The dataset contains route alignments, stops per line and departure frequency based on an average weekday. For routes where the public transport company does not supply an exact alignment, Placepoint calculates a simplified route with "low accuracy", where the stops are joined directly by a line.
For a developer or a home buyer, it is the combination of route alignment and frequency that counts, not the stops alone. A stop with no departures has little practical value, while a high-frequency line (typically 4 or more departures per hour) is a strong location factor. The dataset is therefore read together with Public transport stops and Public Transport Density (Placepoint's derived frequency analysis). It is part of Placepoint's map layer for transport and communications. Related: Walking to the public transport stops.
Update frequency: Annual.
