Enova SF
Enova SF is a state-owned enterprise owned by the Ministry of Climate and Environment (Klima- og miljødepartementet) and administers the energy label scheme for buildings (Energimerkeordningen), the scheme that provides the Placepoint data behind Enova Energy Label. The energy certificate is mandatory when homes and commercial buildings are sold or let. It describes the building's heating solution and energy needs, and gives a letter grade from A to G that buyers and tenants can use to assess running costs and sustainability. Enova also runs support schemes for the energy transition in industry, transport and buildings, but it is the energy label and the associated public register that are relevant for property analysis in Placepoint.
For a property developer or manager, the energy label is an important signal of both regulatory exposure (stricter requirements under the EU taxonomy and the coming EPBD directive) and valuation: buildings with poor energy labels can face demands for discounts from tenants and a higher cost of capital from lenders. In Placepoint, the energy label is shown both in the property panel and as a separate map layer.
