Kultur- og likestillingsdepartementet (KUD)
Kultur- og likestillingsdepartementet (KUD), the Norwegian Ministry of Culture and Equality, is the responsible ministry for areas including sport and the voluntary sector, and is the legal owner of Anleggsregisteret, a national register of sports and outdoor recreation facilities that have received funding from the state gaming surplus. The data itself is managed by the ministry's specialist departments and published so that municipalities, sports organisations, planners and the public can view it. In Placepoint, Anleggsregisteret is used to show sports and outdoor recreation facilities in the map layers for family and accessibility.
For a home buyer, proximity to sports facilities, small ball courts, floodlit ski trails and playgrounds is a well-known measure of attractiveness, especially for families with children. For a developer, it is relevant for prospectus material and as documentation for municipal authorities in zoning cases. KUD also governs subordinate bodies such as Kulturrådet and Lotteri- og stiftelsestilsynet, but these are not yet connected to Placepoint.
