Miljømerking Norge

Miljømerking Norge is the Norwegian manager of Svanemerket (the official Nordic ecolabel, also known as the Nordic Swan Ecolabel), and supplies the Svanemerket part of the Environmental Certifications dataset to Placepoint. The foundation was set up by what was then the Norwegian ministry for consumer affairs, and it receives financial and professional support from the authorities in all the Nordic countries. Svanemerket covers both products and services, and in recent years also buildings: Svanemerket homes and commercial buildings document resource efficiency, lower climate impact, circular economy requirements and a strong focus on indoor climate and quality.

For Placepoint users working with ESG reporting, the EU taxonomy or sustainable portfolios, Svanemerket is one of three main certifications shown alongside BREEAM and LEED in the Environmental Certifications dataset.

Svanemerket makes it easy for consumers, businesses and the public sector to contribute to the green transition. Svanemerket is the official and best known ecolabel in the Nordic region, and it is supported by the authorities in all the Nordic countries. Miljømerking Norge was set up by Barne-, likestillings- og inkluderingsdepartementet (the Norwegian ministry for consumer affairs) to manage the official ecolabel in Norway.
