Military camps

Properties over 10,000 m² owned by Forsvarsbygg, the property manager of the Norwegian Armed Forces. The dataset is supplied to Placepoint by Geodata AS and covers larger military installations, training areas, bases and army camps. Smaller properties (under 10,000 m²) are not included.

For a property developer, military properties are relevant both as potential acquisitions (the Norwegian Armed Forces regularly dispose of surplus properties that can be developed into housing or commercial premises) and as neighbouring properties, where noise from exercises or firing ranges can trigger consideration zones in zoning plans.
