Public and similar buildings

Buildings in the matrikkel (the Norwegian cadastre) linked to schools, health and emergency services:

  • Schools and research: nurseries, primary and lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools, universities, university colleges, libraries, media centres, laboratory buildings and other school and research buildings.
  • Health: hospitals, nursing homes, residential and treatment centres, clinics, doctors' surgeries, rehabilitation institutions, health centres and health and social care centres.
  • Emergency services: fire stations, ambulance stations and police stations.

The building geometry comes from Felles kartdatabase (FKB), and the dataset is supplied by Kartverket. It is part of the map layers for education and risk (emergency service response times). Related: Fire Stations Response Time is Placepoint's own derived analysis of response times based on this layer; School catchment areas shows catchment areas; GP shows doctors' surgeries with available capacity.

Update frequency: Daily.

One to two days' delay from registration in the matrikkel.
