Catchment areas for schools in Bergen
Bergen kommune does not share its school catchment areas through national channels such as Kartverket or Utdanningsdirektoratet (Udir), so Placepoint collects the catchment areas directly from the municipality's own planning registers. The dataset covers both primary/combined schools and lower secondary schools in the Bergen area, and lets home buyers and estate agents see which school an address belongs to, in the same way as in the rest of the country.
For home buyers, the school a home belongs to is often the single most important factor when moving, especially for families with children, and catchment areas can have a marked effect on house prices.
