Rail/metro/tram noise
Calculated average noise from railways (including metro and tram) at 4 metres above ground level. The dataset is based on the noise situation in 2016 and covers railway lines with at least 30,000 train passages per year outside urban areas. Within urban areas, less busy lines are also covered. The figures are calculations, not measurements. Distributed by Miljødirektoratet.
For a developer near a railway or metro line, the same rules and principles apply as for road noise: buildings in the amber or red noise zone under T-1442 require mitigating measures in the reguleringsplan (zoning plan). Part of Placepoint's map layer for noise. Related: Road noise, Noise mapping (T-1442).
Update frequency: updated manually.
