Fitness centre

The dataset shows all fitness centres in Norway, with establishment date, chain affiliation, website, number of employees and operating status, and forms part of the map layers for business. For a home buyer, proximity to fitness facilities is a well-known measure of attractiveness. For a commercial estate agent, it signals retail flows and consumption patterns in an area.

The compilation is delivered to Placepoint by Geodata AS, which collects the information from Brønnøysundregistrene's Enhetsregisteret (the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities). As a result, businesses that for one reason or another are not registered in Enhetsregisteret do not appear in Placepoint. The fitness chain EVO is the obvious example and is currently left out. This is a generic limitation that applies to all BRREG-based business locations, including pharmacies, petrol stations, vinmonopol outlets, garden centres, shopping centres and more.
