Field of education

The dominant field of education per grunnkrets (basic statistical unit), that is, the subject category that most people in the area have studied. The following categories are used: allmenne fag, helse- og sosialfag, humanistiske og estetiske fag, lærerutdanning, naturvitenskap, økonomiske fag, primærnæringer, samferdsel, samfunnsfag and uoppgitt. For a commercial property broker, field of education signals which workforce is available in an area, which is relevant for office and commercial property. Areas dominated by health subjects have a different profile from areas dominated by financial or science subjects.
