Education Level

The population's highest completed education per grunnkrets (basic statistical unit), typically divided into primary school, upper secondary, vocational college, short university/college (under 4 yr) and long university/college (over 4 yr). The dataset covers all residents of Norway as at 1 October who are 16 or older at the end of the reporting year, plus 15-year-olds who have completed primary school or are studying above primary school level. Supplied to Placepoint by Geodata AS, with Statistisk sentralbyrå (SSB) as the underlying data owner.

For commercial property agents and retail analysts, education level is a strong indicator of an area's socio-economic profile and purchasing power. For developers assessing an office location, proximity to a highly educated workforce is a key location factor.
