Company panel
The company panel opens when you click a company in the map, search for it, or click a company owner in the property panel. It gathers everything Placepoint knows about one company: the properties it owns, the ownership chain above and below, roles, office addresses and transactions.
For now, the interface shows a mix of Norwegian and English tab labels. Norwegian names will arrive in a later update. In this document we lead with the Norwegian name and give the current English label in brackets.
The tabs in the company panel
The video opens Tordenskiolds gate 2 from search, goes to the Owners tab and clicks the title holder Tordenskioldsgate 2 Oslo AS. The company panel takes over the panel, and the video goes through the tabs Overview, Info, Properties, Ownership, Offices and Transactions with sub-tabs. The Roles tab is left out.
- Search for the address and select the hit in Oslo. Drag the property panel wider.
- Owners, click Tordenskioldsgate 2 Oslo AS. The company panel takes over, with the company name and organisation number at the top.
- Drag the panel wider so that Offices and Transactions fit in the strip.
- Properties: the arrow on the right of the key figures row shows more boxes, then owned properties, ownership tree, tenants and earlier tenants.
- Ownership: ultimate owners, shareholders, ownership tree and conglomerate, upwards in the SpareBank 1 structure.
- Offices: offices, offices tree and move history. Transactions: property, owners and investments.
- Back goes to the property panel.
Duration: 1 minute and 57 seconds. The tabs depend on the company: a company without properties has empty Properties and Transactions tabs.
The top of the panel
At the top of the panel:
- Company Name and organisation number.
- A link to the company in Brønnøysundregistrene and to Proff for extended accounts and credit information.
- The buttons at the top: Back to the panel you came from, Open company in Proff, Credit score, Zoom to and Close. You make the panel wider by dragging the left edge.
Tabs
The tabs sit in a horizontal tab strip below the header. At a typical panel width, Overview, Info, Properties, Ownership and Roles are visible; Offices and Transactions are gathered behind a +N more button on the right, or come into the strip when you drag the panel wider. Some tabs only appear when the company has relevant data: Accounts and Documents require available data, and Housing Company only appears for borettslag and boligsameier (Norwegian housing co-operatives and housing condominiums).
Overview

The dashboard view for the company. Overview stacks compressed cards from the other tabs on top of each other, so you rarely need to switch tab for the first questions: key information, roles, office addresses, accounts figures, properties, ownership and recent transactions. Each card links on to its full tab.
Info

Base data about the company from Brønnøysundregistrene (BRREG): legal form, industry code (NACE), date of incorporation, registered business address, number of employees and status (active, in liquidation, deleted).
Eiendommer (Properties)

The properties the company owns or holds ownership interests in. The tab has four sub-tabs:
| Sub-tab | Content |
|---|---|
| Eide eiendommer (Owned properties) | A table of matrikkelenhet units where the company is registered as the title holder or owner. Click a row to open the property panel. |
| Eierskapstre (Ownership tree) | The properties organised as an expandable tree, useful when the company owns through several subsidiaries. |
| Leietakere (Tenants) | Active tenants in the company's properties. Most complete for company tenants; private housing tenants are rarely captured. |
| Historiske leietakere (Historic tenants) | Earlier tenancies in the company's properties. |
For a portfolio owner, Owned properties is the starting point for understanding what the company actually controls; Ownership tree shows whether the properties are held directly or through subsidiaries (typically an SPV structure with one AS per property).
Eierandel (Ownership)

Who owns the company, and how the ownership is structured. The tab has four sub-tabs; the default is Ultimate owners:
| Sub-tab | Content |
|---|---|
| Reelle rettighetshavere (Ultimate owners) | The natural persons who ultimately control the company, calculated through the ownership chain. This is the relevant level for anti-money laundering and due diligence purposes. |
| Aksjonærer (Shareholders) | The shareholders with their ownership share, per financial year, from the shareholder register. Select year to see the development. Small shareholders are gathered in a separate row. |
| Eierskapstre (Ownership tree) | The ownership chain upwards, from the company towards parent companies and ultimate owners, as an expandable tree. |
| Konsern (Konsern) | The conglomerate structure the company is part of, with parent, subsidiary and sister companies. Empty when the company is not part of a conglomerate. |
A share sale of a property company is not registered as a recorded property transfer, but it is the most common form of change of ownership for commercial property, because it avoids document duty. The Ownership tab is therefore often where you discover a real change of ownership that does not show in a property's transaction history.
Roller (Roles)

The roles in the company from Brønnøysundregistrene: chair of the board, board members, general manager, signature and power of procuration rights, auditor and accountant. Click a person to see that person's other roles across companies.
Kontorer (Offices)

The business and office addresses linked to the company. Three sub-tabs:
| Sub-tab | Content |
|---|---|
| Kontorer (Offices) | A table of registered addresses. |
| Kontortre (Tree) | The addresses organised as a tree when the company has several locations or subsidiaries. |
| Flyttehistorikk (Move history) | Previously registered addresses with dates, useful for tracking when a company moved. |
Transaksjoner (Transactions)

Property and share transactions the company has been party to: purchases and sales of property (recorded deeds from Kartverket) and share transfers. Use the tab to follow the company's acquisition and sales activity over time.
Regnskap (Financials)
Key figures from the annual accounts: turnover, operating profit, equity and debt over time. Shown when accounts data is available for the company.
Dokumenter (Documents)
Reports and documents linked to the company, including annual reports. Shown when documents are available.
Boligselskap (Housing Company)
Specific information for borettslag and boligsameier: shares, joint debt and linked units. Shown only when the company is a housing company.
Common use cases
Due diligence on a property company. Open Info for base data and status, Ownership for ultimate owners and conglomerate structure, and Roles for the board and signature rights. Check Accounts for financial soundness and Properties for what the company actually owns.
Tracking a change of ownership through a share sale. If a property's transaction history does not show a new owner, but the owning company has been sold, you find it in the Ownership tab's Shareholders or Ultimate owners. Select year to see when the share changed.
Mapping a portfolio owner. Open Properties for the whole portfolio, use Ownership tree to see whether the properties are held directly or through subsidiaries, and Tenants to assess the income base in the portfolio.
Tips
- The company panel also opens when you click a company owner in the property panel.
- Ultimate owners is the default sub-tab in Ownership, because that is the level due diligence usually needs.
- The ownership chain can stop at foreign companies where Brønnøysundregistrene lacks in-depth data. The ultimate beneficiary must then be verified against foreign registers or the company's annual report.
- Empty tabs are a designed state. Konsern is empty when the company is not part of a conglomerate, and Housing Company only appears for borettslag and boligsameier.
