Get started in ten minutes
Fusion covers a lot, and it is easy to open too much at once. This page gives you one order for your first session: start with one property you know, and add one layer at a time. After five steps you will have visited the parts of Fusion you will use most.

If you have not logged in yet, see Introduction for how to log in.
1. Search for one property you know
Click the search field in the top left, or press Ctrl + G (Windows) or Cmd + G (Mac). Type the address of your office, or a property you have worked with. Click the result, and the map zooms to it.

The search field also accepts matrikkel number (the property's ID in the Norwegian land register), company name and organisation number. All three are described on Search.
2. Read the property panel, three tabs
Click the property's polygon on the map. The property panel slides in from the right. Read three tabs, in this order:
| Tab | The question it answers |
|---|---|
| Overview | What is this: matrikkel number, area, buildings and what the property last sold for |
| Owners | Who owns it, and who owns the owner. Click a company to open the company panel |
| Tenants | Who pays the rent, with number of employees and industry |

The other tabs are described on Understand property and context, tab by tab. If the panel covers the tools along the right edge, click the three dots at the top of the panel and select Move panel.
3. Turn on one map layer
Close the panel. Click Map layer in the top right, then Browse layers. Type one word in the search field that describes what you want to know, for example "flom" (flood) or "støy" (noise). The search looks in the layer description, not just the name, so you do not need to know what the layer is called.

Click Add on one layer. The layer appears on the map straight away, and the Legend in the bottom left shows what the colours mean. One layer is enough for your first session. To learn how to combine several, see How to use map layers.
4. Tag the property
Open the property panel again and click Add tag at the top. Give the tag a name, for example "Under review". The tag is your reminder: the property is now in Tags in the left menu.

Tags across properties and projects are described on Tags.
5. Find it again
The next time you log in, the map is zoomed out again. There are two ways back:
- Last visited (the clock icon by the search field) lists the panels you opened most recently.
- Tags in the left menu lists the properties you have tagged. Click a row to zoom to it.

When you come back after a break
If you use Fusion rarely, these three things are enough:
- Hover over an icon to see its name. The arrow at the bottom of the toolbar on the right shows the names next to the icons.
- Where do I find…? is one table that maps each feature to its button.
- Help in the left menu opens these pages in a new tab.
Next steps
Choose based on what you need to get done:
- Use cases - complete workflows, from "I want to find all plots with…" to portfolio overview.
- How do I do it? - short instructions for single tasks.
- Overview of the interface - every menu, button and rail explained.
- Videos - all the videos in one place.
