Overview of the interface
Placepoint Fusion is one large map with a narrow left menu for switching between screens, map buttons grouped in the top right, and tools along the right edge. When you click a property, the property panel slides in from the side.
Left menu
The narrow menu on the left switches between the main screens. The map and the screens you use most sit at the top. Invitations, feedback, help, the project and the user card sit at the bottom. When the window is too short to show everything, the rest is grouped under All features.

The video clicks through the left menu: Map, Tags, Datasets, Agent and Filter each open their own panel, and at the bottom the project button and the user card open their menus.

You control the map layers from the Map layer button in the top right, see Map layers. At the bottom of the menu, the user card (your initials) opens a menu with Theme, Language, Settings, Help and Log out. The interface uses the light theme by default, and also comes in dark and high contrast. See Theme.
Map buttons at the top
The search field sits in the top left and covers addresses, matrikkel numbers, companies and people. See Search. Next to it is Last visited, which collects the panels you have opened recently.
The remaining map buttons are grouped in the top right:

Some button labels are still shown in English while the translation is being completed.
Background map
Basemap opens a panel with the background maps: Basis, Basis Terrain, Images, Gray Tone, Gray Tone Terrain, Hybrid, Canvas, Canvas Dark, Coast, Landscape and NTV.
The same panel has three toggles:

| High Quality | Switches the background map from raster to vector for sharper text and lines. Turn it off for better performance on weak hardware |
| Same map in 2D/3D | Keeps the chosen background map when you switch between 2D and 3D |
| Cadastre Borders | Shows or hides the matrikkel borders on the map |
High Quality applies only to background maps that exist as vector. For pure raster maps, such as Hybrid, the toggle is unavailable.
Map layers
Map Layers shows which map layers are active and lets you add more via Browse layers, which opens the full map layer catalogue. See Map layers for what each layer contains.
Tools along the right edge
The tools that act on the map sit along the right edge. Hold the pointer over an icon to see its name, or click the arrow at the bottom to show the names next to the icons. The property panel covers the row when it is open. Close the panel to use the tools.
In 2D

Daylight, shadow and sightlines are greyed out in 2D. They need the buildings in 3D.
Screenshot takes the clipping and opens it in an editor instead of downloading it straight away. There you can write text, draw with a pen, insert an arrow, line, rectangle and ellipse, add an image and crop the clipping, with undo and redo along the way. Save downloads the result.
Video: the tools in 2D
The video holds the pointer over each icon, opens Bookmarks, Print, Measurements and Elevation Profile, and shows the names with the arrow at the bottom. Current location asks the browser for permission, so it is only shown by name. The video was recorded before the editor arrived, so it shows Screenshot as a plain download.

In 3D
The same row, with three changes: Print is greyed out, and two tool groups wake up.

Daylight and Shadow sit under the sun icon, Line of Sight and Viewshed under the eye icon: hold the pointer over the icon and choose. Each tool opens its own panel with parameters, see Analysis.
Video: the tools in 3D
The video switches to 3D and opens Measurements, Daylight, Shadow, Elevation Profile, Line of Sight and Viewshed in turn.

Property panel
When you click a property on the map, the property panel opens. It collects matrikkel data and tabs for one property. See The property panel for a full walkthrough.
There are four buttons at the top of the panel:

3D mode
The 3D button in the top right switches to 3D. Buildings and terrain are shown in three dimensions, and the camera can be rotated, tilted and zoomed. If you want to model new buildings or terrain, see 3D-Designer. Adjust navigation and 3D performance under Settings.
Tips
- Hold the pointer over a button for half a second to see the full tooltip.
- In the left menu you can click the text next to the icon. Both work, but the text is a larger click area.
- The property panel opens when you click a property on the map, not from the left menu.
- Current location is useful on a tablet when you are standing on the property and want to centre the map where you are.
