The map interface
The map is where most of the work happens. Click a property and the property panel slides in; switch on a map layer and zoning, noise or flood risk is overlaid. Navigation around the map is the same whichever view you are in.

Clicking in the map
Click a property to open the property panel. Click a building on the same property to open the building panel. Both panels have tabs for matrikkel data, owners, transactions and tenants.
The property panel covers the toolbar along the right edge while it is open. Close the panel to use the selection tools.
Selecting several properties
The right toolbar has three selection tools: pointer (single click), rectangle (drag) and lasso (freehand). Use rectangle or lasso to select a larger area and pull out data for all the properties inside it.
Finding your position
The position button (the crosshair icon) in the right toolbar centres the map on your current location and marks it with a blue dot. The first time, the browser asks for permission to share your position.
The button only moves the map. It does not select a property, and the object panel keeps showing whatever you last looked at. Click the blue dot (or anywhere else in the map) to select the matrikkelenhet there and update the panel.
Moving the panel
The object panel is docked to the right edge by default, but you can move it. Click the three dots at the top of the panel and select Move panel. From there you can dock the panel to the right, left, top or bottom, or let it float freely over the map.
If you move the panel away from the right edge, you free up the toolbar without closing the panel.
When the map does not load
Placepoint uses WebGL2 in the browser. If the map is black, blank or stuck on the loading indicator:
- Confirm that the browser supports WebGL2. Open get.webgl.org/webgl2 in the same browser. If a rotating cube appears, WebGL2 works and the fault lies elsewhere. If you get an error message or a blank surface, the browser needs updating or hardware acceleration needs switching on in the browser settings.
- Use an up-to-date browser. Legacy versions and some virtualised desktops (RDP / Citrix without GPU passthrough) do not support WebGL2.
- Reload the page once WebGL2 is confirmed.

Tips
- Click a property to get the property panel; click a building on the same property to get the building panel.
- Map layers you have switched on are remembered per project as long as Remember selected map layers is active.
- The screenshot button in the right toolbar takes a clean map clipping without panel overlays, useful when you need to paste the map into a report.
