Get started
Placepoint uses the same user account on v1 and Placepoint Fusion. You need access to app.placepoint.no from Placepoint to get in.
No access yet? Contact support@placepoint.no.
Logging in

- Open app.placepoint.no. The login form sits on top of a 3D map of Oslo.
- Enter your email address and password, then click Log in. SHOW in the password field displays the characters you have typed.
- We send a one-time code by SMS. Enter the code to finish.

The first time, you enter your phone number yourself. The number cannot be changed later; contact support if you need to switch. See also Account and login.

Once the code is confirmed, you land on the map.
After logging in

The screen has three main parts:
- Left menu with Map, Map layers, Tags, Datasets, Analysis and more. Settings, Help and the user card (your initials) sit at the bottom.
- Top row with the search field, Last visited and the map buttons, all grouped in the top right.
- Map area with a toolbar along the right edge.
The default view is zoomed out. Use the search field to reach the property you are working on.

First steps in the map
Find a property: Click the search field at the top and type an address or a matrikkelnummer (property register number). Click a hit to zoom there. Then click the property polygon to open the property panel.
Turn on a map layer: Click Map Layers in the top right, then Browse layers. Select a category in the list (for example Risk or Demographics) or search, then click Add on the layer. The layer appears in the map straight away.
Switch to 3D: Click 3D in the top right. Buildings and terrain are shown in three dimensions. Use the mouse to rotate, tilt and zoom.
Choose background map: Click Basemap in the top right to switch between Gray Tone, Images (aerial photos), Hybrid and other maps.
User menu
Click the user card at the bottom of the left menu (your initials) to open the menu with language options, system requirements and log out.

Last visited
Last visited (clock icon in the top left) collects the panels you have opened recently. Click to go straight back to a property or a company without searching again.
