Navigation icons

Reference for icon-based buttons in the top bar, the right toolbar, the left menu and the property panel. Tooltips are taken from the app where they exist.

Top bar - top right

The search field and Last visited (clock icon) sit at the top left. The rest of the map buttons are grouped at the top right.

Background map picker (Basemap)

Basemap opens a dialog with a flat list of the available background maps: Basis, Basis Terrain, Images, Gray Tone, Gray Tone Terrain, Hybrid, Canvas, Canvas Dark, Coast, Landscape and NTV.

The same dialog has three toggles:

ToggleFunction
High QualitySwitches the background map from raster to vector for sharper text and lines. Turn it off for better performance on weak hardware
Same map in 2D/3DKeeps the chosen background map when you switch between 2D and 3D
Cadastre BordersShows or hides the cadastre borders on the map

High Quality is only available for background maps that exist as vector. For pure raster maps, such as Hybrid, the toggle is unavailable.

Map layer menu (Map Layers)

Map Layers shows the active map layers and gives you access to the whole map layer catalogue through Browse layers. See Map layer for what each layer contains.

Right toolbar

Along the right edge of the map, the tools are split into three groups.

Group 1 - Selection tools

The property panel covers the toolbar along the right edge when it is open. Close the panel to use the tools.

Left menu

The menu is collapsed as a narrow strip of icons. When you hold the mouse pointer over it, the names slide out.

When the window is too short to show all items, the remaining ones are collected under All features.

Property panel - top buttons

There are four buttons at the top of the property panel:

ExpandExpand or minimise the panel to full height
New tabOpen the property in a new browser tab
Close (X)Close the property panel

Tips

  • Hold the pointer over a button for half a second to see the full tooltip.
  • Click the text next to an icon in the left menu to open the view, both work, but the text is a larger click area.
  • You open the property panel by clicking a property on the map, not through the left menu.
  • Current location is useful on a tablet when you are out on a property and want to center the map where you stand.
