What's new in Placepoint 3.0

Placepoint Fusion brings properties and companies together in one map. Below you can see the main changes in each version, newest first. Each version has its own page with more details. Versions 3.0.3, 3.0.5, 3.0.6, 3.0.7, 3.0.8, 3.0.10, 3.0.14, 3.0.18, 3.0.19, 3.0.23, 3.0.25 and 3.0.29 contained improvements and fixes with no changes to the interface.

Note: Some features may not be available yet, because we sometimes release functionality to selected user groups before it becomes generally available.

3.0.31 - 15/10/2026

• The chat in the Agent and in Ask AI in Filter now looks the same, with suggested questions and earlier conversations in the menu at the top.
• The Agent opens next to the map and can be expanded to full width. Links in the answers open in a panel next to the conversation.
• Dataset export to Excel always has the same column order.
• More text now follows the language you have chosen instead of appearing in English.

3.0.30 - 14/10/2026

• In Filter you can type what you are looking for into Ask AI and get a filter suggestion back, which you apply with one click.
• The property panel shows the street address as the title when the property has one, and the cadastre number when it only has a cadastral address.
• Travel time can be set as low as one minute, and the help page shows the lowest and highest travel time and distance for each mode of travel.

3.0.28 - 13/10/2026

• The Owners card in the property panel has an info button that explains how we find the owner.
• The company panel can draw the properties a company owns in the map, with highlighting when you hover over a row.
• Left-clicking a plan or a stack of pins lists everything under the pointer, including the property.
• The example prompts for Placepoint AI are sorted by theme, with separate examples for Placepoint Dataset MCP.
• Swedish fixes: tenants are shown again, the filters count correctly, municipalities and organisation numbers are shown correctly, and the plan panels centre the map on the object.

3.0.27 - 13/10/2026

• The area picker in Filter works for Swedish properties: you select counties (län) and municipalities in the same tree as in Norway.
• Map layers with sublayers start with the sublayers the layer is set up with, so Developer activity shows a map again.

3.0.26 - 12/10/2026

• Swedish detailed plans, building permits, building rights and land allocations have their own panels, and 26 new map layers for Sweden from Combify are in the map layer picker.
• Filter is available to all users and replaces Matching from Placepoint 1. With Ask AI you describe what you are looking for in your own words, for both properties and companies, and the filters are set up for you.
• Active Layers can be filtered on field values and given their own labels and effects in a new editing panel. Roof model shows the roof surfaces on a building with area, pitch and age.
• Travel time in the map goes up to four hours.
• You can paste 2,000 tags at a time, select several values in the dataset filter, and large exports complete. See Export and sharing.
• New help pages: Get started, Where do I find…? and Privacy and data processing. Placepoint AI works in Perplexity, Codex and Cursor.

3.0.24 - 01/10/2026

• Filter has a new results panel with column selection, export and tagging of selected rows, and the map draws the areas and results you filter on. The company filter has new fields for industry, building type, group and landlord.
• Swedish properties show tenants, and Swedish companies have employees, annual reports and workplaces. See The property panel.
• Travel time is back in the map, with "A to B" and travel time on distance measurement. Right-click in the map and select "Travel time analysis".
• The building panel has a new Floors and units tab, and each map layer has an i button with source, update frequency and a link to the help pages. See Map layers.
• The Agent shows the steps it took, goes deeper with analyses and can save a result as a dataset.
• Placepoint AI works in Microsoft Copilot Studio and ChatGPT in addition to Claude.

3.0.22 - 09/09/2026

• Fusion works on tablets, and on phones within what the screen size allows. See Mobile and tablet.
• Fusion is available in bokmål, nynorsk, Swedish and English, and the help pages in the same four languages. See Settings.
• New Financials tab on companies with revenue, operating profit, EBITDA, equity, debt, employee history and the annual accounts. See The company panel.
• Street View in the panels can be panned, and the view points the same way as the map. See The property panel.
• Map clippings can be marked up with text and drawing before you use them. See The map interface.
• The Agent adds places to the map, gives the answer as a spreadsheet and shows which tool it is running. See Placepoint Agent.

3.0.21 - 04/09/2026

• The Placepoint API gives enterprise customers the ownership chain, shareholder list and beneficial owners for Norwegian companies. See API platform.
• The help pages are now available in English, Swedish and nynorsk, in addition to bokmål: over 600 pages, over 570 screenshots and five videos. See About the help pages.
• The Agent is available in Fusion for those who have access, with shorter and faster answers. It shows what it is working on, answers who owns an address in a single lookup and opens the property panel on the result. See Placepoint Agent.
• The language picker shows "Norsk (bokmål)" and "Norsk (nynorsk)" with the correct spelling.

3.0.20 - 01/09/2026

• New map layer under Property: Historical aerial photos. See Map layers: Property.
• The map layer detail page shows how often the dataset is updated. See Map layers.
• The Placepoint API has a new endpoint that returns all properties a company controls through the ownership graph, and financial figures are back. See API platform.
• The tenant list for sectioned buildings is complete, and the login page appears straight away.

3.0.17 - 30/08/2026

• Address search through the API returns the correct cadastre number, so the result can be linked to other property data. See API platform.
• Map layers drawn by the map server, among them Fuel stations and Fibre coverage, now respond to clicks in the map. See Active Layers.
• The Legend shows the map layer name instead of an internal code, and the heading in the map layer picker counts unique layers.
• The Agent answers Swedish property questions with data from Combify. See Placepoint Agent.

3.0.16 - 25/08/2026

• All users can invite colleagues to the team from the user menu, and team administrators manage members, invitations and the team name on the new Team page. See Settings.
• 22 new map layers: eight under Nature, six under Geology, two under Energy, two under Risk, one under Risk and Pollution, and one each under Infrastructure, Business and Water. See Map layers.
• The youngest age group in analyses is shown correctly as "0-5 yr". See Analysis.
• The Explore Map Tools toolbar works with screen readers and other assistive technology.

• System notifications no longer stop working after a network outage, sleep or the tab sitting in the background. The connection is now restored automatically.
• Map images and thumbnails no longer hang on endless loading if one image fails.
• Logging in after a longer absence no longer fails with a technical error message, and you land back where you were.

3.0.13 - 20/07/2026

• The AR5 map layer is now available and shows land resource classes such as cultivated land, forest and bog directly in the map. See Map layers: Agriculture.
• Company search no longer returns duplicate results when subunits have the same name as the main unit.
