Placepoint 3.0.1

Released 26/06/2026. The first update after launch, with measuring tools, themes and a number of fixes in the property and search views.

New​

  • Line measurement with several break points: measure distance along a line and see the length of each segment, in both 2D and 3D. See Analysis.
  • Theme in light, dark and high contrast, with a tidier colour system.
  • Search on a single word matches the exact company name.
  • Cadastre number is used consistently in the interface instead of fnr and gnr. See Property panel.
  • Datasets: choose to show only the map layers that are visible.
  • Street View is shown as a fallback view when other imagery is missing.
  • One active session per user: if you log in somewhere new, the previous session is logged out, and you can see who took over. If you need more licences, there is a link to us on the screen. See Account and login.
  • New application icon.

Fixes and improvements​

  • The property panel shows current tenants correctly.
  • Links to a tenant's website open in a new tab.
  • Owner information for private individuals is shown correctly.
  • Measurement areas in 3D are shown without a grid pattern on large surfaces.
  • Clearer message when a map layer takes a long time to load.
