Placepoint 3.0.24

Released 01/10/2026.

New

Filter

Filter is rolling out and is not visible to everyone yet.

  • Filter has a new results panel. Hits appear in one table next to the filter panel, and the table can be expanded to full width over the map. You can pin and choose columns, tick rows and export or tag only those, even when the hit count is over 10,000 rows. The export includes the columns as you have set them up.
  • The map shows what you are filtering on. Selected municipalities, postcodes and bydeler (city districts) are drawn as areas, grouped hits sit where the hits actually are, and you zoom to all the hits with one click. "Follow map view" shows a frame around the active selection.
  • The company filter has new fields:
    • One industry field (NACE) that matches all of the company's industry codes.
    • Building Type as a single tree with main group, subgroup and building type, both for owned properties and for rented addresses.
    • Voluntary VAT registration.
    • "Except" under Conglomerate, which removes a conglomerate and all its subsidiaries from the result.
  • In the fields for parent company, owner, subsidiary, tenant and landlord, you choose the company from the company search instead of typing the name. General manager and roles suggest names from the register as you type.
  • The location filters are gathered in one area selection with county, municipality and delområde (sub-area), and one postcode selection grouped by postal town.
  • The AI assistant in the filter suggests changes to the filter that you apply with one click.
  • Key figures such as the equity ratio are entered as a percentage, so 20 means 20%. The from and to values can no longer be set in the wrong order, and the date fields have their own reset button.

Sweden

  • Swedish properties show the tenants in the property panel, and the property you select is marked on the map in 2D and 3D. See fastighet for what a Swedish property is.
  • Swedish companies have data in the Employees and Annual reports tabs in the company panel. "Per location" shows the workplaces, with the number of employees as a size class.
  • Swedish addresses are shown with a point at the entrance, not in the middle of the property.

Map and 3D

  • Map layers now have sublayers. A map layer made up of several layers, for example Zoning Plans with plan boundaries, purpose areas and consideration zones, can be expanded under Active Layers. There you switch each sublayer on and off, see how many are shown, and the choice is remembered for next time. The legend follows the sublayers you have on, and the map layer pages show the tree for each layer that has one. In total, Placepoint has around 280 main map layers in 18 categories, over 180 unique layers, built on around 2,300 sub-layers from around 170 map services. See Placepoint in numbers.
  • The map layer selector shows each map layer under all the categories it belongs to, so a layer that is both Property and Plan appears in both places.
  • Travel time is back on the map. Right-click on the map and choose "Travel time analysis" to see how far you get by car, bicycle, on foot or by public transport, by time or by distance. The "A to B" tab shows the route, travel time and distance between two points that you can drag. Express coach, car with ferry and bicycle with ferry are new travel modes. See Travel distance.
  • Each active map layer has an info button with a description, who supplies the data, how often it is updated and a link to the layer's page in the help pages. All the suppliers also have their own page here.
  • Map layers can show quick info when you hold the pointer over an object, and you can browse between several hits in the same point. See Clicking on the map.
  • The shadow tool in 3D has its own panel. You choose the date and time period, can limit the calculation to one property and can show hours of sunlight instead of hours of shadow. See Shadow.
  • The daylight tool has its own panel. You slide through the day, choose a date or season and play back the day or the year, so you see how sun and shadow move across the plot. See Daylight and Sun study.
  • Line of Sight in 3D saves several lines of sight in a list, and you move them by dragging the points. The new Viewpoints tool saves camera positions you can jump back to, for example the view from a particular floor. Both sit in the toolbar on the right.
  • Explore Map Tools in focus mode has the map toolbar with search, zoom, 2D/3D, background map and map layers. Objects you open from there appear over the map without you losing the panel you were in.

Property, company and search

  • The building panel has a Floors tab. It shows the usable floor area per floor split between residential and commercial, GFA and the dwelling units on each floor. See Floors, and Sections and Units for how the building is divided up.
  • Search has a Google tab, which we switch on for customers who want it. It searches Google and links the hits to properties and companies in Placepoint.
  • The tables have new column types for date, number, trend, energy label, people and links.
  • Help in the left menu opens a menu with the help pages, chat with support, contact information, system requirements and about Placepoint. See Help and support.

Projects and tags

  • You can share a project with individuals by email, and the projects page has search, a country filter and the projects you used last.
  • Tags has a new panel. The list shows your tags with colour and count, you open a tag to see the properties, buildings and companies in it, and you create, change and delete tags straight from the list. Search and filter also work in large tag lists, which load faster than before. See What the panel shows and How to tag a property.

The Agent

  • The Agent shows the steps it took, works more thoroughly on analysis questions and checks the analysis against its lookups before it answers. It can save a result as a dataset, and you get large spreadsheets as a link. See What the Agent can do.

Fixes and improvements

  • Annual reports for Swedish companies no longer link to Norwegian registers.
  • The info card that appears when you hold the pointer over something on the map disappears when the pointer leaves the map or you switch tab or window.
  • The company filter returns hits when you filter on building type under owned properties or tenancies. Before, the whole search failed when you chose a value.
  • Yes and No in the filter are shown in the right language when you change language.
  • Grouped hits on the filter map show the correct count.
  • Swedish address hits get a coordinate, so they are shown with a marker on the map.
  • A negative annual result is shown in red in the Results table under Financials.
  • Filter areas and hits on the map always sit above other map layers, so they are not hidden when you switch on more layers.
  • Sections without a main property in the matrikkel open in the property panel instead of showing an error message.
  • The area remark on the Property tab shows "Being merged" only when the property is actually being merged, and "Additional area" when that is registered. See Where the area figures come from.
  • The Zoning tab uses the address coordinate when the property has no land parcel, and shows an explanation instead of an error when the coordinate is missing. See Zoning plan.
  • Shareholders that are companies show which country they belong to, also when you group by country. See Ownership.
  • Addresses on companies show the country name instead of the country code, and the country is left out when it is your own.
  • The filter panel opens straight away. The fields appear as soon as the filter type has loaded, and the hit count follows right after.
  • The country filters on owners, tenants and ground lessees show country names instead of numeric codes.
  • The quick choices for industry in the company filter fill in the industry field and return hits, and you can choose a whole industry section in one go.
  • The columns for total usable floor area and built-up area in the filter's results table show the total for all the buildings on the property. See UFA and BYA.
  • Map layers without sublayers no longer show a grey expand arrow under Active Layers.
  • The areas you have chosen in the filter no longer produce an info card across the whole map when you have zoomed into the area.

Other news since 3.0.23

Placepoint AI

  • Placepoint AI now works in Microsoft Copilot Studio and ChatGPT, in addition to Claude. It is the same servers and the same login with your Placepoint user wherever you connect from. The procedure for each of them is under How to install. Placepoint AI is improved continuously, independently of the Fusion versions, and each change is listed with a date on Updates. Since 3.0.23 there have been six updates there.
  • The company register is updated with all grunnkretser (basic statistical units) and delområder (sub-areas), so companies can be searched for and counted in a neighbourhood, not just per municipality. Employees are counted where people work, departments have names, and the conglomerate overview includes municipal enterprises and international group links.
  • The company data has new fields: building age, energy certificate, environmental certification, title date and whether the company is public or private.
  • Swedish property from Combify has its own MCP server and 18 improvements: everything connected to a fastighet in one lookup, the full ownership structure of a Swedish company, bygglov (building permits) filtered by developer, and the taxeringsvärde split into land and building.
