Placepoint 3.0.26
Released 12/10/2026. This version is mostly about Sweden: separate panels for Swedish plans and building permits, 26 new map layers and Swedish data in the panels. Filter is now also open to everyone.
New
Sweden
- Swedish detailed development plans, building permits, building rights, land allocations and infrastructure projects now have their own panels. These include documents, images and links in both directions between the project and the property (fastighet). Search for them as separate filter types in Filter and click through. The data comes from Combify. See Swedish suppliers.
- 26 new map layers for Sweden from Combify: detailed development plans, comprehensive plans, building permits, land allocations, property boundaries, public transport and DeSO statistics. You turn them on and off by category in the layer picker, and a click on the map shows the details for what you clicked.
- The map in Filter groups Swedish detailed development plans, land allocations and infrastructure projects into grid squares with exact counts. A single match is shown as its own point that you can open.
- The property panel, company panel, building panel and the panel for residential units hide tabs and fields that have no Swedish data. Transactions, TEK and ESG are marked as not yet available for Sweden.
- Energy labels and the energy label summary are shown for Swedish properties. See energy certificate.
Filter for everyone
- Filter is now available to everyone. You choose fields for property or company and watch the number of matches change as you adjust them. The matches appear on the map and in the table, and you can export them to Excel or tag them. Filter replaces Matching from Placepoint 1. Everything that came in the previous version, including land use purpose, industry and building type, is listed under 3.0.24.
- Ask AI is available in both the property filter and the company filter. Describe what you are looking for in your own words, for example "Show me all the big box properties in the Oslo region" or "Landlords in the Oslo region with weak financials", and the assistant turns it into filters you can apply with one click. We have collected suggested questions for both filter types, and you can save the search when it gives the right matches. For questions that go beyond the filter, ask the Agent.
Map and 3D
- Active Layers now has its own editing panel. There you filter the layer on field values using a histogram, range, date or picklist, and adjust labels, blend mode and image effects. Your choices are saved per layer, and you can reset to the layer's default. The panel works for all map layers, including sublayers.
- The new map tool Roof model shows the roofs of a building surface by surface, with area, pitch and probable age, in both 2D and 3D. See building age for how the age is estimated.
- Travel time on the map now goes up to four hours, up from two hours, for all nine modes of travel.
- When you click on the map and the popup or panel takes a moment to load, a small loading indicator appears at the point you clicked. It moves with the map when you pan.
- Screenshots of shadow casting show the date, time and property, so you can see what the shadow calculation applies to.
- The login page and the welcome tour respond quickly on slower computers too. The 3D city in the background adapts its quality to your computer, shows a still image instead of a loading spinner while the scene is being prepared, and only loads after you have logged in. See System Requirements.
Datasets, tags and export
- You can paste up to 2,000 tags at a time when you add many objects at once.
- You can select several values in the same column when you filter the rows in a dataset.
- All members of the organisation can upload their own icons for the styling of a dataset, including file names with æ, ø, å or spaces. See Members.
- The export dialogue suggests how you can split a large extract, and large exports complete without timing out. See Export and sharing.
- PDF reports download directly instead of opening in the browser's viewer.
The Agent
- The Agent checks that an analysis set has not been taken from a map layer, so the analysis is not built on the wrong basis. See What the Agent can do.
Fixes and improvements
- Filter shows an error message with "Try again" when the search fails, and the dots on the map match the table when you filter by industry.
- When you open a Swedish building, the map shows the building's own footprint instead of jumping to Norway.
- We can now correct tenants that Enhetsregisteret (the Norwegian Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities) has placed at the wrong address, so they appear on the property where they are actually located. See tenants in the glossary.
- The industry breakdown for tenants shows each industry once, with the correct number of employees.
- The profile menu, the settings and several notifications appear in the language you have chosen.
- The plus and minus buttons in 3D zoom in even steps towards the centre of the map, instead of jumping all the way down to the ground.
- The Zoom In button sits to the left of zoom out in the map toolbar.
- The number on an active map layer shows "Sublayers shown" when you hover over it, so it is not read as a value from the data. See Sublayers.
- Printouts no longer show the legend by default, and travel time rows have been removed from it.
- The panel for multiple datasets opens the correct map layer from the catalogue when you click a dataset.
- A number filter in datasets with only a minimum value keeps the value when you open the filter dialogue again.
- Owners with the same ownership share are listed in alphabetical order. See Ownership and registered owner.
- Number of locations under Employees on the Financials tab uses the correct grammatical form, including for a single location.
- The insight card for transactions is called "Property transactions".
- The statistics overview for areas shows exact wealth and income values instead of rounded figures. See Income and Wealth.
- "Give feedback" at the bottom of the left menu and the automatic survey have been removed. If you have feedback or need help, use the chat under Help and support.
- Excel export from Tags is on hold. In the meantime, export through Filter, which handles up to 10,000 rows. See Export and sharing.
